Bolton Wanderers 0-0 West Bromwich Albion

Bolton and West Brom shared the spoils at the Reebok but both teams will wonder how they drew a blank in front of goal.

The first half was an even encounter but the best chance of the game came when a delightful piece of play on the left-hand side involving Kim Do-Heon and James Morrison carved a chance for debutant Iglesias Borja Valero, but his shot was saved well by Jussi Jaaskelainen.

James Morrison also forced an excellent save out of the Finnish keeper with a long range curling effort that was palmed away with one-hand as it headed for the top corner.

There were guilt-edged chances for both sides in the second half, but a combination of bad finishing and two goalkeepers in inspired form kept the scoreline blank.

The Baggies came the closest to a winning goal - Kim's 30-yard strike hitting the underside of the bar and then Ishmael Miller headed the rebound straight at Jaaskelainen.

Bolton also had their chances to break the deadlock. Substitute Riga saw a free kick saved well by Scott Carson, while Kevin Davies had two goals disallowed.
