Blackpool fought off late interest in Charlie Adam on deadline day after offers from two clubs, including Boro, came in for him.

Middlesbrough have been tracking the midfielder for some time and they are known to have made an offer for Adam after losing Adam Johnson to Manchester City.

Another unnamed club are also thought to have made a deadline day bid, however the offers were rejected by the Seasiders and the Scotland midfielder will be a Blackpool player until at least the summer.

Blackpool will be holding out for £5million and if Adam continues to shine then a Premiership club may be willing to pay it at the end of the season.
