Defender's injury worry

MiddlesbroMiddlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has an injury worry over Robert Huth who has picked up an ankle knock.

The Germany international is due to be sent for a scan on the problem as soon as possible but that cannot take place until the swelling has gone down.

Huth missed out on the win at Wigan and appears to be a major doubt for the game with Chelsea after the international break, but Southgate may have to wait until the end of the week to find out the full extent of the trouble.

Southgate told the Gazette: "Robert has a problem with his ankle ligaments but we don't yet know the full extent of the injury.

"The area is very swollen and it's difficult to give an accurate assessment at this stage.

"However we should have a clearer picture by the end of the week."
