New signings Scott McDonald, Lee Miller and Kyle Naughton go straight into the Boro squad for the clash with Ipswich Town.

Boss Gordon Strachan will be looking to involve them as soon as possible and they could be thrust into the limelight alongside fellow January recruits Willo Flood, Chris Killen and Stephen McManus.

Barry Robson is suspended following his sending-off against Bristol City.

Rhys Williams (pelvis) Emanuel Pogatetz (hamstring), Chris Riggot (hamstring) Jeremie Aliadiere (ankle) and long term absentees Seb Hines and Matthew Bates will definitely miss the match while Marvin Emnes is a doubt because of tonsilitis.
