Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate says he is looking to move into management once his playing days are over.
The 33-year-old former Real Madrid centre-back has revealed he is considering the options that lie ahead when he does call it a day and says the Riverside is the perfect place to earn his coaching badges.
"Football is the only thing I know," he told the club's official website. "Hopefully one day I would like to be a coach or a manager. I want to be a manager and to get inside players' minds.
"This is the perfect place to do a coaching badge, with Dave Parnaby and his Academy," Woodgate added
"You have to understand the players, what makes them tick. You have to treat each of them differently."
Woodgate, who earned eight England caps, made 25 appearances for Boro last season.
