Hornets set for MK Dons swoop

MK DonsMK Dons striker Jemal Johnson is a reported summer target for Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd.

The American-born 23-year-old striker scored eight goals for the Dons last season as they romped to the League Two title under Paul Ince, who has now quit to take over at Premier League Blackburn.

However reports claim Hornets boss Boothroyd is looking to entice the former Blackburn Rovers and Wolves hitman to Vicarage Road this summer in an effort to bolster his striker options ahead of the new Championship season.

Johnson, who has also had spells on loan at Darlington, Leeds United and Preston in the past, has suggested a number of clubs have made enquiries about him, including a Premier League outfit.
