Shefki Kuqi insists his Oldham team-mates must not dwell on Saturday's 5-0 thrashing at MK Dons.

Paul Dickov's side recorded their first win in seven games against Walsall last Tuesday, but they were unable to build on that success on a humbling afternoon in Milton Keynes.

However, veteran striker Kuqi insists Latics should focus on the busy fixture list ahead of them in the coming weeks.

"Saturday's game has gone and we have to look forward," he told the club's official website.

"We have to learn from the defeat and make sure it doesn't happen again. The players, myself included, need to take a long, hard look at themselves after a loss like that.

"There is no point dwelling on it. Should we do that it is going to make matters worse and it will be a long time to the end of the season."
