Motherwell have taken Everton duo Anton Peterlin and Cody Arnoux on trial with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

Midfielder Peterlin and striker Arnoux both took part in a bounce game against Celtic on Tuesday and impressed, with Arnoux catching Brown's eye in particular after he won a penalty.

The Steelmen's boss now hopes to arrange another friendly to have a second look at the pair before deciding whether to go any further and make an offer to Everton.

"The two lads from Everton coped well, particularly Cody, who led the line and caused them problems," said Brown.

"David Moyes is probably going to have to recall Lukas Jutkiewicz at the end of the season, so we're taking a look at these lads to see if they're worth a shout."
