Brown unhappy with disallowed goal

Motherwell boss Craig Brown insists his side were denied all three points after having a seemingly good goal ruled out against Rangers.

Tom Hateley fired 'Well in front with a delightful free-kick but the Gers earned a point thanks to a late Kris Boyd strike.

However, video replays showed that the Steelmen had a perfectly good goal ruled out after Ross Forbes was adjudged to be offside when guiding Stephen Craigan's effort into the Rangers goal.

Brown, who is famous for his polite and calm manner, confronted the linesman after the match and was understandably furious about the incident but refused to criticise the officials after the game.

He told the club website:"I've always been an advocate of not criticising the officials so I won't do that - certainly not publicly. I've seen the TV evidence which would indicate the goal was okay.

"But the officials have got jobs to do and they do them honestly. Unfortunately we didn't get the goal, which I think would have finished the game because we were very comfortable at that point."
