Lukas Jutkiewicz is hoping Motherwell and Everton can sort out his future in the summer and admits he wants to stay at Fir Park.

The on-loan striker is keen to gain more experience as he sees good pals Dan Gosling and Jack Rodwell break into the big time with the Premier League club, although it is not in his control.

He said: "I'm really happy here but I've got another year left on my contract at Everton so it's going to be up to them to decide what they do with me.

"I really enjoy it here and, if I can stay longer than the end of the season, I would be really happy. But a lot of it might be out of my hands."

Jutkiewicz missed last week's win over Hibernian with a knee injury and knows boss Craig Brown does not need to make changes.

"I'll train tomorrow and fingers crossed," he said. "The lads did great so they might not need me.

"I've managed to score a few goals and it's been a bit frustrating that a little minor injury kept me out of last week's game.

"We agreed to get rid of the problem before it got any worse so, hopefully, I can get back in the side for the weekend and try to keep scoring the goals."
