New boy raring to go

MotherwellJohn Sutton says he is excited by his move to Motherwell and is targeting a bright future after signing from Wycombe Wanderers.

The 24-year-old says Mothwerwell tried to sign him in the past before he moved to England, but is now happy to be playing under Well boss Mark McGhee.

"Funnily enough, Motherwell were interested in signing me before I went south a year ago, but at that time clubs in Scotland would have had to pay compensation to St Mirren for me," he said.

"Instead, I was allowed to go to a different national association for nothing and I ended up at Wycombe. But everything I've heard about Motherwell, the manager and the style of play has been very positive and I'm excited about this move."
