John Sutton believes things can only get better for Motherwell this season and has tipped the youngsters to shine.

The 'Well, who many pundits wrote off at the start of the season, are currently in fifth place in the SPL and Sutton insists there is more to come from Jim Gannon's men.

The striker told the Daily Record: "I think everyone associated with the club always knew the young boys here were really good players - the likes of Ross Hutchinson, Ross Forbes and Bob McHugh.

"They have come in and done a great job and hopefully will keep developing as they are at the moment."

He added: "I think we have to be reasonably pleased with our start. Our points total is pretty decent.

"It's a very tight league but we are capable of finishing high up. We just have to pick up as many wins as possible and see where it takes us."
