Striker's transfer fear

Lukas Jutkiewicz hopes Everton do not demand a fee that would stop him from joining Motherwell next season.

The on-loan hitman knows he will be surplus to requirements at Goodison Park next season after the Merseysiders paid £500,000 to sign a new teenage striker from Portugal this week.

But Jutkiewicz wants to turn his loan move at Fir Park, where he has scored ten goals this term, into a permanent transfer.

"It would be a shame if Everton were to price me out of a move here," he said.

"It wouldn't make sense to ask too much because I'm obviously out of contract next year."

Motherwell boss Craig Brown believes his best hope of retaining the player would be on loan again because other clubs with bigger budgets are interested.
