Chelsea are being linked with a move for Newcastle striker Demba Ba who could be a replacement for Fernando Torres.
The Blues have already been strongly linked with moves for Toon duo Chieck Tiote and Tim Krul this week and now reports are claiming that Ba is also a target.
The Senegal ace has arguably been the signing of the season after Newcastle snapped him up on a free transfer after he left West Ham, but there is a clause in his contract allowing him to leave on the cheap.
Newcastle are hoping to get him tied down to a new deal, while the player also seems happy at Newcastle, but a big money offer from Chelsea could change that.
Chelsea are lining up Ba to replace Torres, who is a target for Juventus, and the player's agent says a move to Turin on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal, would appeal to his client.
"Juventus have clear ideas about what they want in the transfer market. Torres could be the high-profile signing they are looking for," Antonio Caliendo told Goal.com.
"He is a big name and would be the right man for (manager Antonio) Conte. He has all the right characteristics to play at Juventus."
