Brown sticking with Hull

NewcastleHull boss Phil Brown says he is flattered to be linked with the Newcastle job but has no intention of leaving the Tigers.

The 42-year-old's stock has risen considerably since gaining promotion and following wins at Arsenal and Tottenham he is being linked with the post at hometown club Newcastle.

Brown, though, is happy where he is and only signed a new three-year deal last month, and he told the Mirror: "It is flattering to be linked with the big jobs because it shows you must be doing well. But I am a loyal guy, and I am very proud to have been given the contract I've got at Hull.

"The way I see it, I have got a massive job to do here, and my future is definitely on Humberside. My chairman Paul Duffen and I want to establish Hull City as a Premier League club first and foremost, but who knows how far we can take it?"
