Papiss Cisse is set to partner Demba Ba in attack at Tottenham after Leon Best picked up a knee injury against Aston Villa.

Cisse came off the bench to replace Best and scored the winning goal in a 2-1 win as Newcastle moved up to fifth place in the table and boss Alan Pardew will hand him a starting role at White Lane.

Ryan Taylor will also miss out after picking up an ankle injury against Villa but it remains to be seen Pardew will go with Gabriel Obertan at Spurs or opt for a more defensive option.

Elswhere, midfielder Yohan Cabaye serves the final game of his three-match suspension after being found guilty of violent conduct at Brighton, while defender Steven Taylor (Achilles) and midfielders Sylvain Marveaux (groin) and Sammy Ameobi (knee) are all on the sidelines.

Newcastle have picked up six points from their last two games and Pardew says they will be going all out for the win at White Hart Lane as they look to close the gap on the top four.
