Colo set for Toon return

Newcastle are expected to welcome skipper Fabricio Coloccini back to the fold when they take on Fulham this weekend.

Coloccini is back to full fitness and was in line to face Hull City last weekend before he had to return to Argentina following a bereavement in the family.

The defender is due back on Tyneside this week and, all being well, he should come back into the side that takes to the pitch at Craven Cottage, with Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa the player likely to make way.

Alan Pardew was delighted with his defence during the 4-1 victory over the Tigers but if Colocinni is in good shape when he returns to the north east, then the Toon boss will put him in.

Meanwhile, Pardew will also check on the fitness of Loic Remy after the striker picked up a knock while on international duty with France last week.
