Newcastle have signed Fitz Hall from QPR while a substantial bid has been made for Crystal Palace striker Victor Moses.

Magpies boss Chris Hughton has moved to strengthen his squad further by signing Hall on loan for the rest of the season and he hopes to follow it up by landing Moses from the Eagles.

Palace have to sell the young striker before the closure of the transfer window after they went into administration and Newcastle are closing in on a swoop.

The Magpies have made a big offer for the player and now negotiations are ongoing with a view to wrapping up a deal. A host of clubs are in for Moses but it is thought the player wants to move to St James Park.
