Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has played down talk of a move to Chelsea as Newcastle remain favourites to land the striker.
The Gabon striker has confirmed he would like to leave Saint-Etienne at the end of the season and Newcastle are in the box seat to do a deal after failing to sign him during the January transfer window.
Magpies managing director Derek Llambias has confirmed the club plan to return to France in the summer to make more signings and Aubameyang is known to be on their list of targets.
Chelsea are also said to be interested and could provide strong competition if they enter the running but Aubameyang says he is unaware of their interest.
"I want to see something else, find something else. A new challenge," Aubameyang revealed. "Chelsea? I was not aware of that. You're teaching me something new."
The 23-year-old, who has scored nine goals in 26 matches this season, is currently contracted to Saint-Etienne until 2016 and it will take a fee in the region of £10million to secure a deal.
