Newcastle could face a battle to keep hold of Steven Taylor after Everton reignited their interest in the defender.
Everton boss David Moyes was keen on Taylor in the summer but the Magpies managed to fight off their interest and the defender has gone on to star in the Toon defence this season.
However it would appear that Moyes is back in for the central defender after he watched him action on Monday night when Newcastle defeated Preston 1-0 and a January offer could be on the cards.
Taylor is determined to win promotion back to the Premiership with Newcastle but any interest from Everton when the window opens could turn his head.
