Fab one of four for Toon

NewcastleArgentinian defender Fabricio Coloccini has emerged as a one of Kevin Keegan's four transfer targets, but West Ham also want him.

The Deportivo La Coruna defender had an excellent season in La Liga last term, scoring four goals and becoming an ever-present in the side.

The 26-year-old's performances were noted by United scout Tony Jimenez who recommended the commanding centre-back to Keegan as he looks to add at least one defender with quality.

However, West Ham technical director Gianluca Nani is also a fan and could be ready to sanction a bid from the London club.

Coloccini was at Villarreal and AC Milan in the past and has a reputation of being a cultured defender who does not pick up many suspensions.
