Inter target strike ace

Inter Milan are considering a summer move for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis, who turned down Newcastle in January.

Gomis was a January target for Magpies boss Alan Pardew but a move failed to materialise, with reports suggesting the 28-year-old rejected the chance to move to St James' Park.

However, Gomis is out of contract in the summer and the France international has previously admitted he has no plans to remain with Lyon beyond the end of the current campaign.

Newcastle will no doubt be keen once again, but the Nerazzurri are now ready to offer Gomis a deal in the summer, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
