KK eyes Spanish raid

Newcastle have made a bid for £8m-rated Deportivo La Coruna defender Fabricio Coloccini, according to his agent.

The Argentina star has been at the Riazor since 2004 and made almost 100 appearance for Depor, but he could be on the move this summer.

Coloccini's agent Marcelo Lombilla told AS: "The only offer that I received is from Newcastle, which I communicated (to Deportivo)."

Spurs have also been linked with an interest in a player their boss Juande Ramos knows all about, but the Magpies' need for defensive reinforcements appears to be greater.

Coloccini he has left out of Depor's trip to Venezuela for a pre-season training camp.
