Newcastle goalkeeper Matz Sels is being linked with a summer switch to Belgian champions Anderlecht.
The 25-year-old only left his homeland 12 months ago when the Magpies signed him on a five-year deal from Gent for an undisclosed fee thought to be in the region of £4.5million.
However, the former Belgium Under-21 international struggled to force his way into boss Rafa Benitez's first-team plans and made only nine appearances in the Championship title-winning campaign as Karl Darlow won the battle to be number one.
With first-team chances looking limited in the Premier League, Sels is being linked with a move this summer and Anderlecht are believed to be leading the chase to sign him on a season-long loan deal.
It could be an attractive move for Sels given that it would see him given a chance to play in the Champions League, but the major stumbling block is Newcastle want Anderlecht to pay his wages in full and that could be beyond their means.
