Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is believed to be considering a £7million swoop for unsettled QPR star Adel Taarabt.
Pardew is a huge admirer of the Morocco international, who saw a big-money move to French outfit PSG fall through in the summer.
Taarabt is rumoured to be unsettled at Loftus Road in the light of a dressing room bust-up at half-time during Rangers' recent 6-0 defeat at Fulham.
QPR manager Neil Warnock has tried his best to play down the dispute which reportedly ended with Taarabt storming away after being substituted but privately it's thought he is now willing to cash in on him during the new year.
Former Newcastle midfielder and current Hoops captain Joey Barton has also been heavily critical of the 22-year-old's attitude and despite being warned over his remarks by Warnock, a parting of ways seems inevitable sooner rather than later.
Rangers are believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of £7m for the player who has less than two seasons to run on his existing contract.
