Italian giants AS Roma have joined Monaco in the race to sign Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye this summer.
The Frenchman is in demand and it only appears to be a matter of time before one of Europe's big guns test Newcastle's resolve by making a substantial bid for his services.
Reports over the last couple of days have linked Cabaye with a move to big-spending Monaco, and now Roma are in the hunt to take the midfielder to Serie A.
Former Lille manager Rudi Garcia was appointed as Roma's new manager on Wednesday and that has kicked off reports in the Italian press suggesting he wants to be reunited with Cabaye once again.
Roma could now be ready to offer as much as £15million for Cabaye, who has hinted that he could look to quit St James' Park once he returns from holiday.
