Newcastle target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be sold by Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to his father.
The Gabon international only made the move to Germany last summer for 13million euro from St Etienne and did well in his first season in the Bundesliga, scoring 13 goals in 32 games.
Despite his decent showing last term, rumours emerged suggesting Dortmund would be willing to sell him on if they received an acceptable offer.
The Magpies and Italian side Roma are said to be keen on the 25-year-old but the striker's father says there is no chance of Aubameyang leaving this summer.
"There's no truth to the rumour," Aubameyang Senior told Bild. "My son stays in Dortmund. BVB have done a lot to facilitate his integration and he really likes it here.
"And apart from that no one at Dortmund has told us that the club want to sell my son.
"Quite the opposite, it is very important to me that he listens to the advice given by his bosses so that he can become a complete player."
