Fabricio Coloccini's agent, Marcelo Lombilla, has accused Newcastle of destroying their chances of cashing in on the defender.
Coloccini moved to Newcastle last summer from Deportivo La Coruna for £10million but failed to make an impact throughout the season.
However the Argentinean is still highly regarded in Spain and is thought to be attracting strong interest from Real Zaragoza. The 27-year-old wants to leave the club but this is being disrupted by The Toon's reluctance to talk business as club owner Mike Ashley awaits a buyer, much to Lombilla's dismay.
Lombilla told the Chronicle: "After the relegation, the directors seemed to decide to sell Fabricio. But I have heard no more details. Now, without more information, the chances to sell him look negative."
The lack of communication between the player and the club means not only will Coloccini suffer but it threatens to devalue Coloccini's price tag, which is unhealthy for the club.
