Brown Ideye's agent says the interest in his client is hotting but as yet Newcastle haven't made an offer for the striker.
The Toon are said to have been tracking the 24-year-old for some time as Alan Pardew aims to strengthen his frontline following Demba Ba's departure in January.
Nigeria international Ideye has caught the manager's eye after helping the Super Eagles win the Africa Cup of Nations this year, while he also managed 17 goals in 28 appearances for his club side, Dynamo Kiev.
Dynamo are willing to part with Ideye if someone matches their asking price after reportedly agreeing a deal for Anderlecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani.
However, if Newcastle want their man they may have to move quickly after Ideye's representative, Hootan Ahmadi, revealed his client was on the radar of numerous clubs.
Ahmadi told Sky Tyne and Wear: "Quite a few clubs are interested now in France, Turkey, Germany, Russia and the Middle East.
"We are just seeing what the best option is. We are waiting for English clubs. He is still keen on the Premier League, although money will be a lot better abroad."
