Newcastle have joined the growing number of clubs who are showing an interest in Benfica's highly-rated striker Rodrigo.

The 21-year-old was signed from Real Madrid and he is starting to make a name for himself after firing home an impressive 13 goals in 28 appearances for the Portuguese giants.

Rodrigo has also impressed when firing home 12 goals for Spain's Under-21s and it comes as no surprise to see him linked with another move to the Premier League.

The youngster has already had a loan spell with Bolton back in 2010 but if reports are to be believed he could soon be heading back with Arsenal, Chelsea and now Newcastle all said to be keen.

The youngster would come with a hefty price tag though and it remains to be seen if Newcastle would be able to match Benfica's valuation if they did decide to sell.
