Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko has welcomed speculation linking him with Newcastle and says he would be interested in a move.

Alan Pardew is reported to be keen on the midfielder and the press in France have gone as far as suggesting a deal could already be in place for when the transfer window re-opens.

Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye is thought to have spoken to his fellow countryman in an attempt to lure him to the St James' Park and it seems as though the player is also keen.

Paris St Germain are interested and even though they have the cash to win the day, it is thought Sissoko would prefer to leave France for a new challenge in England.

"To play in the Premier League would be a dream come true," said Sissoko. "It is a fantastic league and I enjoy watching it. Newcastle are a fantastic team and would be attractive to any player. I am no different."
