Arsenal have been told not to bother making a move for Southampton wonder kid Theo Walcott after again watching him at the weekend.

Chelsea and Manchester United have also been taking an interest in the 16-year-old who was on target in Saints 2-0 victory over Millwall at the New Den.

Walcott has now scored in each of his last two starts for Southampton and manager Harry Redknapp says that he is better off staying at St Mary's.

Redknapp has told Walcott that he will learn more playing every week in the Championship than he will in The Gunners youth team side.

"There were clubs chasing him as schoolboy he was only of them that everybody knew about and there has been talk of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

"He is a talent there is no doubt about that, he has got the pace and the ability but I don't want to put too much pressure on him. He is a good boy.

"But he is playing league football and will be involved in every game, he wouldn't be getting that experience if he goes elsewhere," said Redknapp.
