Real Madrid have revealed that they may well want to sign Gunners forward Jose Antonio Reyes after all.

Reyes has been on loan with the Spanish Champions for the past season but they had declared that they did not want to sign him and with the player not wanting to return to London that left him in limbo.

Real President Ramon Calderon now claims that may change when a new manager is installed. Real axed Fabio Capello at the end of the season despite winning the title.

Madrid expect to confirm Bernd Schuster as their coach next week and Calderon said: "I think that with a new coach and with a new system Reyes could become an important player for this club."
