Loan duo get Cobblers permission

Last Updated: Fri, 08 Nov 2013 09:02

New signings Ricky Ravenhill and Jacob Blyth are both available for Northampton's FA Cup first-round trip to Bishop's Stortford on Sunday.

Midfielder Ravenhill arrived from Bradford on a month-long loan deal on Thursday while Leicester striker Blyth returned to the Cobblers from Leicester having seen his previous three-month loan stay cut short by injury.

Fellow loanee Kane Ferdinand has also been cleared to play but Town remain in discussions with Brentford over the availability of Luke Norris and Stuart Dallas.

It remains to be seen whether Clive Platt (calf) and Matt Heath (thigh) are fit enough to make their comebacks, but Roy O'Donovan (hernia), Kevin Amankwaah (hamstring), Kelvin Langmead (knee), Lewis Hornby (back) and Alex Nicholls (broken leg) remain sidelined.
