Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is keeping track of Slovenian striker Robert Beric - who played against his Birmingham team last year.

The Canaries boss is planning to revamp his striking options in January and has been kept up to date with Beric's progress since he featured in the Europa League against the Blues last season.

The 21-year-old caught the eye for Maribor when he scored in their Europa League clash against Tottenham recently and has also now made the step up from Under-21 to full international football.

Beric has scored four times in ten starts in his domestic league but has managed two in three in the Europa League this season.

Championship duo Leicester City and Cardiff City are keen on him with the Welsh club hoping to pair him up with his former Maribor strike partner Etien Velikonja.
