Norwich could face a battle to keep hold of Ben Alnwick as Burnley are being linked with a £1million swoop for the Tottenham star.

Alnwick is currently on loan at Carrow Road after slipping behind Heurelho Gomes and Carlo Cudicini at White Hart Lane but it remains to be seen if Harry Redknapp would consider a permanent deal.

Redknapp thinks the former Sunderland man has a bright future and may be reluctant to sell. However, Burnley boss Owen Coyle is ready to test Redknapp's resolve and reports claim there is a £1million offer in the pipeline.

Coyle wants back up to Brian Jensen and believes Alnwick would press the experienced stopper hard for the number one jersey at Turf Moor.
