Russell Martin is still being assessed but Chris Hughton will be keen to name an unchanged side when City face Reading on Saturday.

Martin's back injury kept him out of the 1-0 win over Stoke City last week when Steven Whittaker was named at right-back.

Centre-half Michael Turner (dead leg) and full-back Javier Garrido (knee) both went off during that came, but are expected to be available.

Ryan Bennett and Marc Tierney are on standby if either of them fails to make it while Leon Barnett could also come into the manager's reckoning.

Jacob Butterfield is unavailable after joining Bolton Wanderers on loan yesterday.

Meanwhile, Striker Harry Kane, on loan from Spurs, is on course to return before Christmas following foot surgery.
