Chris Hughton will look to sign a striker for Norwich in the transfer window following injuries to Steve Morison and Grant Holt.
The Canaries boss lifted the lid on his transfer plans following injuries to two of his key forwards as hamstring victim Holt has managed just one outing in the last four games, while Morison missed Tuesday's 2-1 defeat by West Ham because of a thigh injury suffered against Manchester City.
It has left on-loan Tottenham striker Harry Kane leading the line, while Simeon Jackson is also available. Chris Martin is also set to return from a loan spell at Swindon on January 5 and James Vaughan is on loan at Huddersfield until the end of the season.
But with Hughton not certain how long Morison and Holt will be out for he is clearly looking to strengthen that area of his squad.
"Of course I've had a problem with Grant missing some games and Steve Morison also injured now," Hughton told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"It's an area that of course we have looked at."
He added: "Grant's very close. Stevie's got a slight thigh strain which will certainly keep him out for a couple of weeks.
"Whether it will be longer than that we'll be able to determine over the next couple of days."
