Norwich boss Chris Hughton believes January arrivals Kei Kamara and Luciano Becchio will help the Canaries in their survival push.

Hughton tried in vain to secure Celtic striker Gary Hooper and Sporting Lisbon's Ricky van Wolfswinkel in the transfer window but did pick up Kamara and Becchio.

Forward Kamara has joined on loan for the rest of the season from MLS side Sporting Kansas City, with a view to a permanent summer transfer, while fellow frontman Becchio was signed from Championship side Leeds on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Hughton insists the duo will impress at Carrow Road and feels they offer different qualities to fellow strikers Grant Holt and Simeon Jackson.

"I hope so. He (Kamara) is different to what we've got," Hughton told the Pink 'Un. "Becchio is somebody who needs service in and around the box.

"We all know what Grant (Holt) gives us inside and outside the box.

"Simeon (Jackson) is a smaller, brighter player that has a little bit of pace and Kamara is one who has that bit of pace as well and he's very, very good in the air but he can also play in a wide position so he gives us a good option right across the front."
