Paul Lambert could find himself in hot water with the FA after he blasted the referee as Norwich lost at Southampton.
The Canaries were denied a place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy area final as they lost on penalties but Lambert says the referee was to blame for allowing Saints back into the game.
Saints substitute Michael Antonio appeared to strike out at Grant Holt but the referee gave the decision the other way and the home side went on to equalise before winning on penalties.
"The referee has cost us, nothing else," Lambert said. "Southampton are a real good side, they're at home and you expect them to come out at you - all those sort of things - we weathered it and, OK, we lost a goal but a terrific fight back and we looked really comfortable.
"But the decision, it should've been our foul. I think the guy's lashed out at him in some way, which can happen in games, but if you're the referee and you're refereeing a game of this magnitude, all you're asking is to do your job.
"If the game's too big for him, then maybe he should look and go and referee somewhere else."
