Simeon Jackson is wanted by Championship side Millwall after being told he can leave Norwich on a Bosman free transfer.
The 26-year-old Canada international, who has scored 17 goals in 73 appearances at Carrow Road since arriving from Gillingham in 2010, was one of the surprise names told by Canaries boss Chris Hughton he was no longer part of his plans ahead of next season.
However, Jackson's goalscoring qualities in the Championship which helped Norwich secure promotion in 2011 have alerted several clubs in the second tier and new Lions boss Steve Lomas has confirmed his interest in signing him.
Lomas said: "He's the right type for us - he's quick and he can score goals. But I will be one of about ten managers that wants Simeon Jackson because he's done very well at Norwich. Some people were a little surprised that they let him go.
"I like the boy. I think he's got something about him and we want hungry players. I like him because he plays like he's hungry and, when you get that, it's a nice little combination."
