Steve Morison is refusing to set any targets for the Premier League until he knows how well he adapts to the top flight with Norwich.
The 27-year-old Wales international was one of Canaries boss Paul Lambert's first signings since the club's automatic promotion from the Championship last season. And, the former Millwall man is relishing the opportunity of plying his trade in England's top league this coming campaign.
However, given that Morison was playing for Stevenage in non-league football just over two years ago, he is reserving judgement before making any bold predictions.
"I just want to play as many games as I can and score as many goals as I can in the Premier League," said Morison in the Eastern Daily Press.
"It's a different scenario at the club and I don't know whether I'm going to be good enough or whether I'm not going to be good enough.
"I will just wait and see but you have to go in there full of confidence. It's difficult to set a target because it's something I don't know a lot about. He (Lambert) is just instilling a belief into us that we are all good enough and we are going to do okay in the Premier League.
"I think that's half the battle. If you go in there thinking any different then you haven't got a chance at all.
"He is instilling a great belief and there's a winning mentality at the club already. If we can keep that going as well as playing some good football then it bodes well."
