Anthony Pilkington is likely to miss out for Norwich City at Sunderland with Wes Hoolahan in line to return to the starting line-up.

The former Huddersfield Town star pulled up with a hamstring injury in the first half against Southampton last week and was replaced by the Republic of Ireland international.

Andrew Surman (knee), Alexander Tettey (knee), John Ruddy (thigh) are all still out for the Canaries with boss Chris Hughton expected to name an otherwise unchanged side from the one that drew 0-0 last weekend.

Leon Barnett, who completed a one-month loan move to Championship league leaders Cardiff City late on Thursday, is also unavailable.
