Norwich City have beaten Swansea City in the race to sign Birmingham City's highly-rated teenage winger Nathan Redmond.
Canaries' chief Chris Hughton has been heavily linked with a move for the 19-year-old England Under-21 international as he knows all about his qualities having given him his chance to become a first-team regular during his time in charge at St Andrew's in the 2011-12 Championship campaign.
Redmond has since made 62 appearances for Blues while he also featured in the Young Lions' ill-fated European Under-21 Championship campaign last month which ended in the group stages following three successive defeats.
Blues boss Lee Clark confirmed last week that they had reluctantly accepted offers for the player from both the Canaries and Swansea City.
And Redmond has now decided to link up with Hughton at Carrow Road ahead of the Swans with the Canaries set to pay £2m and another £1.2m in add-ons.
