Roeder steps up transfer search

NorwichNorwich boss Glenn Roeder is stepping up his search for a new striker and says he is prepared to use the loan market.

Roeder is running out of time to sign a striker permanently as the transfer window is set to close on Monday but he will have the option of drafting in a loan signing once the deadline has passed.

"I can only hope that we can find a striker that I've been chasing. It's still touch and go but it's not over until the fat lady sings," Roeder revealed. "I will get one that we feel comfortable with, whether it's Monday or the week after I don't know.

"There are a dozen or so that are floating around that wouldn't look good in a Norwich shirt. We've had those, we've tried those and we've had to move those on."
