Reported Chelsea goalkeeper target John Ruddy is "very much part of our plans" at Norwich City, according to boss Chris Hughton.
The 26-year-old England international was the subject of a £5million bid from Chelsea last week with new Blues boss Jose Mourinho looking to bring some quality competition into his Stamford Bridge squad for long-standing number one Peter Cech.
It was suggested that the Canaries might contemplate doing business if the Londoners doubled their offer to £10million, but Hughton has now spoken out to dismiss the possibility of Ruddy leaving in this transfer window.
On his number one, who missed three months of last season because of a thigh injury, Hughton told the club's website: "We see very much John's future here and we look forward to him being here.
"John would be no different to any player we have here. Any interest in any of our players is just a mark and a testament to how well those individuals have done.
"We start back training on Thursday. John is very much part of our plans and will be here.
"Then we go away to Austria next week and of course John is very much part of that.
"Any interest shown in any of our players is just a mark of how well they have done."
