Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel is the latest player to be linked with a move to Norwich in this transfer window.

Canaries boss Chris Hughton has already been linked with a bid for Celtic's Gary Hooper and Swansea's Danny Graham, while QPR's Jamie Mackie and Sporting Kansas' Kei Kamara are more recent links.

However, with progress slow, it seems Hughton has switched his attentions to 23-year-old Dutch hitman, van Wolfswinkel, who has been heavily linked with moves to the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Newcastle.

The player has been a big hit at Sporting since joining from FC Utrecht in summer 2011, but with the club languishing in eighth spot in the Portuguese Primera Liga this season, it is thought they might be willing to offload him.

If Hughton does take van Wolfswinkel to Carrow Road it will be seen as a big coup for the East Anglian outfit.
