Steven Whittaker has admitted to being relieved at finally getting a full Premier League debut under his belt against Stoke.
Canaries boss Chris Hughton snapped up the Scotland international defender from Glasgow Rangers in the summer, but he suffered a long-term injury during a friendly match against Celtic in pre-season.
Whittaker finally got some game time in the Capital One Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur in midweek and kept his place in the side for Saturday's 1-0 victory against the Potters at Carrow Road.
The full-back was pleased to be in action for his new club and now hopes he is over his injury nightmare and gets a run of games under his belt.
Whittaker said: "It was playing on my mind, having two games in a few days. I wasn't sure how I would handle it.
"It was important that I recovered from Wednesday and did the right things.
"I felt okay against Stoke. The manager showed faith in me by putting me in and hopefully I repaid some of that. It was difficult with the reshuffle as I started on the right and ended up playing at left-back."
