Nottingham Forest defender Joe Heath has left the City Ground to link up with Lincoln City on a six-month loan deal.

Heath broke into the Forest first-team last season but did not play on a regular basis and boss Billy Davies is keen for him to get regular action under his belt.

The 20-year-old will get that opportunity with the Imps and their boss Peter Jackson is delighted with the move.

"Joe is a young, keen and enthusiastic player and I am delighted that I have been able to bring him to the club," Jackson revealed. "He had experience at Championship level last season and played in some big games for Forest so he certainly has something about him and he is a highly-rated full-back."
