Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp says he is not expecting a call-up to the England squad despite his recent displays.

The 25-year-old has been on fire for the Championship high-flyers recently, leading some to call for him to receive an international call-up with Fabio Capello yet to settle on a first choice shot stopper.

While Camp has said he would love to represent his country he believes there are plenty of people ahead of him in the pecking order.

"Of course I want to play for England but you have to be realistic," said Camp.

"If you are playing well week in, week out in the Premier League then it is something that you can look at, but at the moment I would imagine it is a million miles away.

"I don't think that there is any need to dive into the Championship and take a goalkeeper when there is some real quality in the Premier League.

"Taking a rookie with no experience into that situation is a massive gamble we probably don't need to take."
